Schedule: Per Diem 08:00 AM - 16:30 PM

Reports To: Director Perioperative Services

Summary: Under the direction of the designated Nursing Director, assumes responsibility for the complete care of the assigned patients during shift work. Provide leadership by working collaboratively with ancillary, nursing, and other personnel in maintaining professional standards of care. Responsible for the direction and supervision of personnel assigned to work with him/her. Emphasis will be toward assessment, planning implementation, evaluation, and documentation of care. The patient population to be serviced will be the Outpatient Surgery Unit.

Requirements: Current California RN license. Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are required. Demonstrates professional knowledge of the nursing process, and strong clinical background. Basic understanding of the needs of surgical patients. Experience with interviewing and assessment techniques are used to identify potential problems. Education and interventions are initiated to optimize positive outcomes. OPS, Outpatient OR/PACU experience preferred.
