Reports To: Director, Perioperative Services

Summary: Registered Nurse who is capable of providing intensive post anesthesia nursing care to patients in the immediate post anesthesia period, and transitioning them to Outpatient Surgery, the inpatient setting, or the intensive care setting for continued care. Demonstrates leadership and clinical expertise based on education and experience. Directs and ensures that patient care is delivered as set forth in PACU Policy and Procedures.

Requirements: Completion of Critical Care Course or Specialized PACU training. Completion of Registered Nurse Program. CPAN preferred. Current California RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS required. Demonstrates professional knowledge and responsibility through reference from past education and/or job experience. One year Phase 1 PACU experience or 2 years critical care experience. ***Specialty Pay Available***
