Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for receiving, processing, registering and maintaining records and documents relating to the Seminole Tribe of Florida's Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum's permanent collections and exhibits. The individual reviews and advises on collection insurance values and storage requirements; oversees the physical movement, packing, and shipping of the collections and storage areas. The incumbent maintains an inventory of all documents, objects and artifacts owned and/or loaned by the Museum. Bachelor's degree in History, Anthropology, Art History or related field is required. Master's degree is preferred. Minimum of one (1) year of experience working as Registrar or experience with museum registration methods, cataloguing, and storing historical objects/artifacts is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
