DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:
The Rehabilitation Technician performs a variety of supervised construction work and community improvements
for housing dwelling units; involves minor renovation/construction repairs, replacements, electrical, plumbing,
mechanical, roofing, heating/cooling equipment and ?oor covering; coordinates services/activities with District
Service Centers. Work is located within various housing subdivisions and sites throughout the Gila River Indian
Community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform a variety of general construction work in accordance with generally accepted construction building
trades.May be required to follow construction work orders, blueprints, working drawings, or specifications.Utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, common building equipment and light motor vehicles.Hang new drywall, taping texture, exterior/interior painting, framing, reconstruct wall and doors, finish work,
baseboards, trim work and touch-up.Change electrical damaged ?xtures, exhaust fans and rerouting electrical lines.Install fencing around dwelling units.Perform other related construction/renovation tasks as may be assigned from time-to-time under theconstruction, renovation and maintenance of dwelling units.
0 Demolition: removing cabinets, vanities, commodes, bathtubs and drywall.

- Roo?ng: replace damaged material, plywood, fascia, drip edge tee-tops and vents and seal roofjacks with
mastic.

- Plumbing: change angle-stop, faucet fixtures, water heaters, ?ex lines, reroute plumbing lines and install
concrete ramps,Perform other related duties as assigned.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILL AND ABILITY:

- Working knowledge and skill in all phases of construction/renovation methods for work on dwelling units,including use of appropriate tools.Thorough knowledge in operating hand and power tools, equipment and building materials.Knowledge and experience on construction codes, trades, remodeling and renovation applications.Ability to read, comprehend, interpret, analyze and evaluate existing dwelling unit conditions.Ability to operate a motor vehicle, climb ladders for unit inspections, bending, lifting, kneeling, pulling andpushing items.Ability to recognize safety hazards.

- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, Community Officials
and the general public.

- Ability to perform all physical requirements of the position; agree to maintain a Drug-free workplace.REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:High School diploma or GED and a minimum of four (4) years of construction work experience in one or more
trade areas; carpentry, electrical, painting, plumbing, drywall or floor covering and which demonstrates the ability
to perform the duties and responsibilities outlined.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Required to obtain a Tribal Operators permit. Valid state drivers license with a current proof of driving record
for the past 39 months will be required to qualify for a tribal driving permit. Proof of driving record must be
submitted with application and must not be more than 60 days old from the date of submission of the
