Research Analyst

Allied Universal is looking to hire a Research Analyst for a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC). The Research Analyst is responsible for building institutional knowledge in incident response and customer service. Working in the GSOC Knowledge Management center, the Research Analyst will conduct After-Action Reviews (AAR), collect and analyze performance data, and lead research projects to help the GSOC comply with contractual standards and continuously improve its products and services.

The Research Analyst will support Amazon Corporate Security's GSOC. This is an Entry Level, full-time position located in Seattle, WA.

Essential Job Functions

  • Review access control alarm data to determine the root cause of alarm response errors.
  • Review written reports and phone calls for quality.
  • Conduct and facilitate interviews, focus groups, and group discussions to improve incident response and customer service.
  • Write AAR reports that deconstruct events and identify learning opportunities.
  • Research and analyze industry standards and trends.
  • Conduct audits on processes, products, and services.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in social science, ethnic/cultural studies, communications, education, or a related field.
  • Familiar with physical security, emergency management, and/or customer service concepts and ideas.
  • Comfortable leading group discussions and one-on-one interviews.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree in social science, ethnic/cultural studies, communications, education, or a related field.
  • Experience (including internships) in mixed-method research, performance measurements, or process improvement.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of basic statistics such as measures of central tendency and sampling.
  • Experience working with MS Excel, Tableau, or other data visualization programs.
