Research Associate

Lovelace Biomedical, a not for profit research center dedicated to the advancement of human health located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a Research Associate within the Laboratory Animal Sciences group.

Requires strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work independently and as a part of a team. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, as well as the ability to learn department-specific computer systems as needed. Under limited supervision, performs a variety of routine and non-routine research tasks, following established techniques and procedures. Will work extensively with computer-based programs. Will assist in study preparation (protocols) and reporting (data management and report writing). Will assist in study execution (collects samples from and administers agents to research animals as IACUC approved studies require). Conducts technical aspects of the position in accordance with applicable guiding documents that include but are not limited to SOPs, protocols, and regulations and assists in refining these procedures as well as implementing new procedures and perform all other related duties and tasks as required or assigned.

Requires a masters degree in a related scientific discipline and a minimum of 2 years demonstrated research experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been attained.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
