The Division of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Preventive Medicine, within the Department of Internal Medicine, is seeking a highlymotivated individual to join our dynamic team. The Research Coordinator will workon two research studies within our Statistical and Data CoordinatingCenter. Both of these studies focus oncare coordination for people with an opioid use disorder. This position willinvolve a variety of work, including assisting with project coordination, fieldactivities such as screening and enrolling participants, conducting researchinterviews, data management and reporting such as creating data collectionforms and performing quality control checks, and administrative duties such asmaintaining supply levels and scheduling meetings. This person will work closely with the PI,project manager, research assistants, and internal and external partners. Theideal candidate for this position is someone who is organized, efficient, andable to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. They will havesome clinical research experience, eager to learn a variety of skills, culturally competent, and is comfortable working with vulnerable populations.

Conditions of Employment
  • This position is represented by a labor union and is subject to the terms and conditions of the USUNM Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Successful candidate must submit to a post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check. Additional health screenings may be required, dependent on the nature of the research conducted, as determined by Employee Occupational Health Services.
  • Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience conducting research activities such as gaining informed consent,data collection/instrument administration, recruitment and retentionactivities
  • GoodClinical Practice certification
  • Experiencedo you have with REDCap
  • Experience with data entry and analysis
  • Experience contributing to reports and study updates
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations
  • Experience providingadministrative and fiscal support
  • Proficient in using electronic communication methods (Email, Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
  • Possess excellent communication skills
Additional Requirements Must be comfortable with remote work. This position will eventually require time spent in UNM clinics and the UNM Hospital. Some travel within the state of New Mexico may be required.
