Research & Development - Culinary Specialist (OBS)

JOB SUMMARY

As a member of the R&D Team, the Culinary Specialist supports culinary development for Outback Steakhouse. The Culinary Specialist is responsible for culinary support, professional leadership, and collaboration with all team members. The Culinary Specialist develops innovation, supports core menu, as well as photo shoots, and vendor product evaluations. The initial focus for the Culinary Specialist is the Eureka Test location at Citrus Park.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION

• Supports the daily preparation of tastings, product evaluations.
• Supports the Corporate Executive Chef with documenting BBI cards, gram work and recipe distribution to the Recipe Coordinator.
• Remains current and actively grows and demonstrates knowledge of the entire kitchen, supplies, ingredients, and preparation.
• Partners with Marketing and Supply Chain teams on briefs targeted to the strategic alignment of company goals and objectives.
• Develops gold standard products for the purpose of commercialization with vendor partners.
• Works in the Citrus Park location upholding the standards and proving operational excellence.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Available to work a flexible schedule.
• Minimum 21 years of age with legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Proficient in knife skills, food preparation, recipe documentation, gram work and cleaning.
