  • EH&S considerations
  • Process simulation software
  • P&ID diagrams

Essential Duties:

  • Support and execute research programs under the CNCE.
  • Mentor, advise and supervise graduate and undergraduate students and postdoctoral researchers within the CNCE.
  • Develop, design, and build process systems for capturing and processing of CO2.
  • Support the technical engineering efforts of Carbon Collect, Limited, or other external partners, and liaison with engineering and EPC firms to develop demonstration- and commercial- scale direct air capture systems.
  • Provide a strong engineering interface with external commercial entities to support the business development of direct air capture systems.
  • Provide experiential guidance and insight on chemical process industries, applications, and best practices.
  • Create computational models to simulate and optimize processes.
  • Structure and direct technology development planning.
  • Design experiments and experimental systems for concept and design development.
  • Build and operate bench-scale, pilot-scale, and demonstration-scale systems, as needed.
