Our client is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP)/Residential Aide in the Flint, MI area.
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Provide direct support in activities of daily living, as outlined in individuals Person Centered Plans
* Provide support in a manner that promotes growth, health, community involvement, safety, dignity, and respect for individuals
* Collaborate and communicate with co-workers and individuals support team to promote a positive and productive working environment
* Contribute to the daily operation of the home, in a safe and cost efficient manner
* Identify opportunities for improvement and actively participate in their implementation
* Support culturally competent recovery-based practices and person-centered planning as a shared decision making process
* Support a trauma informed culture of safety to aid consumers in their recovery process
* Actively participates in Quality Improvement Plans and Initiatives
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
* Ability to successfully complete trainings required for position.
* At least eighteen (18) years of age
* Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, in a clear concise manner.
* Ability to interact with people in a positive and supportive manner.
* Current valid drivers license.
* Life experiences with diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, including experience with behavioral health issues (preferred)
