Job Description

Position Summary

Responsible for the hiring and staffing of residential group homes and shifts to ensure the health, safety and appropriate habilitation efforts on behalf of individuals served in accordance with VALLEYLIFEs Policy and Procedures.

Position Responsibilities

  1. Understands and adheres to established VALLEYLIFE policies and procedures.
  2. Process new candidate applications and conduct first interview to assess placement.
  3. Maintain open communication with Residential Supervisors regarding current openings for appropriate candidate placement.
  4. Maintain staff schedules according to each homes matrix and ratios.
  5. Familiar with member staffing needs and how to access member information for emergencies and placements.
  6. Provides staffing for Call-offs, PTO, open shift, and long-term leaves.
  7. Entering Schedules for Residential Float.
  8. Maintain open communication with Residential Supervisors regarding day-to-day changes.
  9. Maintains staff attendance through exemption reports and ADP schedules for billing purposes.
  10. Responsible for completing all Residential Floats and Scheduling Specialist on the job training and annual renewals.
  11. Performs general office duties including but not limited to general computer updates, photocopies, and files.
  12. Be available on an on-call basis for coverage and support for Scheduling Specialist.
  13. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  1. Computer skills including but not limited to MS Office, MS Excel and Scheduling program.
  2. Ability to multi-task in a hectic environment.
  3. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively via, in person, phone, e-mail, and text.
  4. Ability to maintain successful working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, other agency personnel, and office personnel.
  5. Must have current training per VALLEYLIFEs policy and procedures

Requirements

  1. Must have 6-12 months experience scheduling in a 24/7 environment.
  2. Must be 21 years of age and have a valid Arizona Drivers License with a safe driving record as determined by insurance requirements.
  3. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  4. One year experience working with the developmentally disabled.
  5. Must be able to work weekends (at minimum one weekend day per week).

Physical Demands

  1. Ability to lift 25 pounds a distance of four feet.
  2. Ability to sit for long periods of time.
