Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Assistant Clinical Director, Psychiatric Services, the Registered Nurse is responsible for professional nursing care and related assistance to patients on the assigned unit. The Registered Nurse provides direction to other Registered Nurses, Licensed Vocational Nurses, and non-professional nursing personnel in providing direct patient care and operation of the nursing unit on designated shifts. The Registered Nurse supports the medical care of all patients on the unit under the direction of the Medical Staff pursuant to the objectives of the Hospital.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Previous experience in psychiatric clinical nursing preferred.
- Current CPR.
- COAP required within 30 days of hire.
