About ORMC:

Odessa Regional Medical Center was founded in 1975 as Odessa Womens and Childrens Hospital. Through the years, the hospital grew and evolved into a full-service healthcare facility and the name was later changed to Odessa Regional Medical Center to reflect its larger campus. The hospital has 225 beds and has approximately 250 physicians on staff and has over 700 employees.

Today, ORMC offers a wide spectrum of healthcare services, including advanced diagnostic imaging technology, emergency care, innovative surgical procedures, maternity care, comprehensive cardiac services and general medical care.

About the Shift:


RN - Registered Nurse - Full Time RN 6:30 - 4:00 varied days

About the Position:

The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care to neonate through geriatric patient populations. He/She will address the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. They will communicate with surgeon and anesthesiologist continuously and as needed about patient condition, assist with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory, participate in performance improvement activities. The RN will assess operating room for equipment functioning and readiness, obtain supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of surgical operating team are met, monitor, position and assists patient during procedure. The RN Circulator provides services to age range from neonate to geriatric.

Regulatory Requirements:

  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Texas.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Current PALS certification within 90 days of hire
  • Current ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.

Minimum of one year work experience in the operating room preferred or equivalent medical/surgical experience preferred.
