Job Summary:

Provides direct and indirect patient care, supervises non-licensed personnel as assigned in the practice setting. Communicates with physicians and co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patients clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Position will be supporting MPMC Breast Surgeon assisting with in clinic procedures/biopsies and will have direct patient interaction. Candidate must possess very strong communication skills as they will be the main point of contact for patients relaying results and coordinating care.

Responsibilities:

Take vitals when necessary
Room placement
Record patient history, chief complaint, pharmacy info, prescription list, etc. into EMR for physical
Supply ordering
Stocking of rooms
Ordering tests, obtaining prior authorizations
Requesting and obtaining referrals for patient visits and surgery
Front desk support - phone triage, appointment scheduling and co-pay collection
Additional duties as assigned
Experience with electronic medical record strongly preferred (Athena/ECW a plus)
Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook preferred

Requirements:

Current active RN license required
One year experience, preferably in a clinic environment
