The RN coordinates age specific care for assigned patients according to the Standards of Patient Care and the Nurse Practice Act.

Prioritizes tasks and collaborates well withh others in department to maintain and continue flow of care in each area. Consistently performs bedside shift report at the patient's bedside and engages patient and family.

Delegates specific responsibilities and tasks to members of the patient care team as appropriate and in accordance with scope of practice; retains accountability for outcomes of care delivery. Responds to patient call lights. Actively rounds every hour during day and ever 2 hours at night.

Consistently demonstrates clinical competency in Obstetrical/Neonatal/Gynecological nursing.

Provides health education to the patients and significant others relevant to plan of care, preparation for intervention, community services, and self-care after discharge.

Demonstrates competency in fetal monitoring, use of equipment, interpretation of tracings, and appropriate interventions based on interpretations. Reports information to physician in a timely manner.

Requirements: Current Pennsylvania RN license, NRP within 6 months, BLS, clearances as required by law. BSN, ACLS and one year experience preferred.
