RN Per Diem - Pulmonology Clinic

SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for providing competent nursing care. Responsible for coordination of the patient's plan of care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions that lead to established outcomes. This position practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Valley Children's Hospital policies.

Valley Childrens provides a range of comprehensive medical services for patients with congenital, genetic and acquired lung and respiratory system disorders, from birth to age 21. Our team, the largest of its kind in the Central Valley, includes board-certified pediatric pulmonologists, nurse practitioners, nurses, dietitians, respiratory therapists, social workers and psychologists focused on treating the whole child.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: A) a graduate from an accredited nursing program, BSN strongly preferred; B) an active California Registered Nurse licensure (RN); C) Minimum of 1 year nursing experience preferred, Pulmonology and or pediatrics experience a plus. D) Heart Code Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer into position.

POSITION DETAILS: Per Diem, expected to work approximately 4 x 8-hour shifts per 2-week pay period, Day shift, clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, closed on weekends and holidays.
