Job SummaryThe Safety Officer will develop, coordinate, and monitor programs to assure compliance with requirements of The JointCommission Environment of Care (EC) and Emergency Management (EM), OSHA (e. g. hazard communication, injuryinvestigations, and injury reduction efforts), and NFPA (e. g. life safety education, fire drills, and compliance assistance anddocumentation review). Will also serve as the on-site security contact and facility contract liaison.

Minimum Experience RequirementsThree to five years of experience in Emergency Management, Occupational Safety, and/or Fire Safety. With a minimum of 1year within a healthcare organization Experience in comprehending, interpreting and implementing the requirements ofregulatory agencies such as OSHA, TJC, State health statutes regulating Safety and Environmental Health StrongInterpersonal Skills with ability to communicate with al staff, including executives Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Associates or Bachelor's degree in the Safety/Safety Management or equivalent combination of education andexperience may be considered
