Job Description

Starting pay rate $18.75/hour

*New employees are eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus*

Royal Building Products, a vinyl siding manufacturer in Columbus OH, has a full-time opening for a Samples Coordinator. This position is responsible for preparing, packaging and shipping samples of products and information to sales personnel and customers to help generate sales for the company.

The schedule for this position will be Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:00pm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Obtain materials necessary to complete assignment
  • Cut sample sizes of siding according to specs
  • Ability to use radial arm saw, utility knife, packaging tools, computers, and forklift
  • Must be able to start and stop work on different sample projects as necessary
  • Complete proper paperwork required on each sample produced and shipped
  • Maintain level of quality consistent with established standards
  • Maintain constructive working relationships with co-workers, leads, supervisors, and managers
  • Perform other duties as assigned to the satisfaction of the supervisor

QUALIFICATION & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Mechanical aptitude, ability to use small hand tools and read drawings
  • At least 6 months in a manufacturing environment, preferably in assembly type role
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds (with assistance). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to vibration. The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Ear and eye protection must be worn at all times and steel toed shoes are required. Temperatures, although maintained, can be effected by outside weather conditions.
