Carpenter Co. has an opening for a SAP Analyst at our corporate office in Richmond, Virginia. This position is responsible for using the SAP platform to create solutions to resolve complex logistics and materials management procedural problems. This position will also be responsible for providing support to SAP users on an ongoing basis.

Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations excellence. As the successful candidate, you will be expected to use the SAP development tool to design, implement, maintain and support application solutions for our logistics and materials management teams. This will include collaborating with the project team members and users to develop or enhance specific applications that support continuous functional improvement.

Your additional responsibilities as SAP Analyst will include:

  • Developing test plans to assure expected performance levels
  • Testing system modifications/enhancements
  • Documenting system modifications/enhancements
  • Training and supporting end users
  • Troubleshooting, debugging and resolving production issues



  • Bachelors degree in IT, Supply Chain, Logistics or other related field
  • 2 or more years of experience working with SAP SD (sales and distribution) and MM (materials management) modules
  • 3 or more years of experience in logistics and/or supply chain
  • Prior project management experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills to include Word and Excel
