    Summary:

The School Age Care (SAC) Program offers before and after school care at multiple BVSD schools. The BVSD SAC program prides itself on providing quality care that is engaging, fun, and developmentally appropriate. Although our schedule is traditionally Monday through Friday and ranges from 2:15-6pm, we offer you the scheduling flexibility you need. As a SAC Staff member you will be a part of a high energy, collaborative and inclusive team with the opportunity for advancement.

    Responsibilities:
    -Assist in implementing program based on philosophy including day-to-day operation, field trips, and special events.
    -Assist in maintaining clear, consistent, and fair limits on children's behavior
    -Assist in maintaining positive guidance and discipline techniques set by program
    -Access resources as necessary for special needs children
    -Continue professional growth, attend all staff meetings and in-services
    -Adhere to licensing guidelines set by the Colorado Department of Social Services, Boulder County Health Department and School District policies and procedures
    -Work cooperatively with SAC team in sharing responsibilities
    -Assist in creating a harmonious and efficient work environment
    -Attend monthly staff meeting to review schedule, address relevant issues and build team cohesion
    -Assist in maintaining program supplies and services
    -Assist in maintaining accurate attendance records and tracking, knowing where children are at all times
    -Provide accurate and timely information to Supervisor
    -Share relevant resources and materials with Supervisor, staff and parents
    -Maintain on-going communication with Supervisor and staff
    -Assist in establishing and maintaining regular and open communication with parents regarding children's progress and behavior as well as upcoming field trips and special events
    -Establish and maintain on-going timely communication with school building personnel
    -Ability to perform physical labor at times, including lifting up to 25 lbs.

    Qualifications:
    Required:
    -Must be over 16 years of age
    -Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English, must pass English component of interview process
    -Complete and submitted BVSD online application
    Preferred:
    -Experience in working with children
    -Positive communication, interaction and work experience with diverse people
    -Bilingual skills and/or experience with special needs children
