    1.0 FTE- Regular, on-going position
    Hourly Pay Range- $18.70 - $25.78
    Sunday - Thursday 9:00p.m. - 5:00 a.m.

    Summary:
    Performs routine security checks of schools in the district; responds to emergencies and takes necessary steps to address all emergencies. At times will be required to respond to matters pertaining to vandalism, theft, arson, personnel problems, etc. Works with appropriate law enforcement agencies and other first responders when necessary. At times, will support the 24x7x365 Security Dispatch Center as a Dispatcher.

    Responsibilities:
    -Secure buildings, checking buildings to make sure they are secured, check for signs and indications of fire, HVAC issues, vandalism, theft, safety hazards, etc.
    -Patrols school premises in vehicle and on foot to ensure compliance to all rules and regulations pertaining to safety and security.
    -Check doors and windows for security, locks and unlocks entries and exits as required for authorized usage and curfew of buildings; may check individual identifications to ensure authorized usage of buildings and facilities.
    -Prepares, disseminates and maintains shift activity records and accurate reports on matters investigated.
    -Provides backup to district Security Dispatcher, including dispatching to alarms, answering phones/radios and making log entries.
    -Must have computer experience and working knowledge of Microsoft and Google software suites.
    -Must have experience working with various alarm systems and security devices (specific training will be provided).
    -Ability to work overtime and be flexible when occasional shift changes are needed.
    -Good interpersonal skills; to think and act quickly, calmly, and appropriately in emergencies.
    -Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:
    Required:

    -High School diploma or equivalent
    -Currently hold a valid Colorado Driver's License
    -Submit a current Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Must be insurable and maintain insurability per Colorado School Districts Self Insurance Pool (CSDSIP) standards (MVR Insurability Standards).
    -Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English
    -Completed and submitted BVSD online application
    -Ability to perform physical labor, including constant reaching, bending, stooping, ability to climb ladders, be on feet up to 12 hrs/day; to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis; 100 lbs occasionally with assistance;
    -To walk on varying terrain for up to 8-12 hrs/day; to move quickly when needed

    Preferred:
    -Computer experience and working knowledge of Google Suite software
    -Previous experience working with various alarm systems and security devices

    Salary information:
    -Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.
