The Senior Security Engineer role is responsible for implementing and maintaining the operational efficiency and efficacy of the technical security controls protecting Centura Health. This role ensures that enterprise information security strategies are implemented or blend with the security architecture and solutions. They are a system expert and provide tier III problem resolution. The Senior Security Engineer supports and maintains the overall security control environment to enforce security policies, procedures and compliance requirements that safeguard the integrity of, and access to, enterprise systems, files and data elements.

Additionally, the Senior Security Engineer is responsible for consulting, designing, implementing or integrating security into projects and managed systems to ensure interoperability with existing security architecture by influencing product selection, procedure development, application development, database configuration, network and/or platform (operating system) efforts within IT. They also mentor and provide leadership to Security Analysts and Engineers within Data Security to ensure proper operations of security controls.

What You Bring/Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • 5 years in an enterprise security role or as a system/network administrator.
  • Experience installing, administering, and maintaining cybersecurity products such as
    SIEM
    ,
    email filters
    ,
    endpoint security,
    IPS/IDS, PAM, firewalls, CASB, or vulnerability scanners.
  • Working knowledge of regulations such as PCI, HIPAA, HITRUST, or NIST.
  • Working knowledge of well-known networking protocols, services and operating systems.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required. Equivalent work-related experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • A Cybersecurity certification from (ISC)2, SANS, or CompTIA such as CISSP, HCISSP, CCSP, GCFE, GSEC, Security+, CySA+, CASP+.

Schedule: Monday-Friday (standard working hours) with occasional after hours or weekends

Physical Requirements: Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
