Minimum Requirements
- 3-5 years in an IT helpdesk or technical support role
- Demonstrated experience training computer users
- Experience with network and systems configuration and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with IP Network topology, database administration and Microsoft server configurations. Certifications preferred.
- Experience identifying, diagnosing and resolving problems within a computer network.
- Ability to troubleshoot, configure, add and delete software
- Proficiency in monitoring networks and systems for security breaches or intrusions.
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Program and configure security equipment such as access control systems (Software House, Genetech, Open Options), Video Surveillance systems (Avigilon, Exacq, Genetec, etc.), Intrusion Detection systems (Bosch), Intercom Systems, Perimeter Detection and Emergency Phones
- Hands on field support of all systems for field personnel
- Remote support of all systems for customers
- Commission security systems by testing systems post install and verifying quality standards are being met.
- Customer training on new systems
- Program and configure systems with consultant driven designs as well as in-house designs from scratch based on client requirements.
- Perform Quality Assurance and Quality Control inspections of security project Systems
- Provide on-going system support for customer lifecycle
Pay Rate:
Level 1: $55,000 - $75,000/year
Level 2: $75,000 - $95,000/year
Level depends on experience

Job Summary:
The Field Service Specialist will provide several tasks including system programming of some strategic commercial security and access control systems, QA/QC, and technical training in the field, working closely with the Manager of Technical Services, and the Field Operations Manager.
