Allied Universal has security jobs and are seeking to fill the position for a Security Operations Center Officer (SOC). Schedule: 11pm-7am, Fri & Mon and 7pm-7am, Sat & Sun

A Security Operations Center Officer is very important to the safety and security of our clients facilities. A Security Operations Center Officer allows us to accomplish our companys core purpose, which is "to serve, secure and care for the people and businesses in our communities". The SOC security officer will be a key contributor to the security operations team in the event of a crisis situation that would threaten the safe and secure business operations. This could include, but is not limited to: natural disasters, workplace violence, facility emergencies, fire and issues of serious injury or illness.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the general direction of the SOC Manager, serves as the Security Operations Center key Controller; actively engaged in six critical operational areas: Access Control, Fire & Life Safety Systems, HVAC & Environmental, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), Security Personnel, and Incident Intake & Documentation. The Console Operator also serves as the primary contact and liaison for monitoring Corporate Facilities and Retail Centers; responsible for analyzing incidents and providing immediate response to appropriate mitigation procedures while maintaining Business Continuity. The Console Operator directs Security Officers and Support Staff; providing critical information needed to respond to incidents, and bring closure in conjunction to pre-established policies, procedures, standards and guidelines. Position requirements are provided below:

SOC Operations

  • Manage the end to end process for granting physical access to client facilities and restricted areas. Includes: interfacing with client associates via phone and email, granting and removing access within the client access control database, and troubleshooting access problems presented by the customer
  • Proactively monitor physical access and video surveillance alarms within the respective systems, and be able to execute appropriate response standards in accordance with approved operating procedures
  • Monitor and report after hours facilities power outages to the client
  • Monitor and respond to facilities 911 and duress alerts in accordance with client procedures
  • Train local client associates and receptionists on utilization of Duress panic buttons, and response.
  • Support internal investigations when requested by producing supporting access, and video evidence.
  • Creation and distribution of incident reports

SOC Threat Monitoring

  • Monitor Global incident alert tools, media, and additional platforms for events that impact or have the potential to impact Client facilities, operations, or associates.
  • Monitor phone and email communications from client associates reporting suspicious activities
  • Create, disseminate, and archive all "Do Not Admit" DNA / "Be on the look-out" BOLO approved by client corporate security department

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Be at least 21 years of age with education/work experience equivalent to BA/BS
  • Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
  • Valid guard card/license, as required in the state for which you are applying.
  • As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • For Driving Positions must be 21 years of age, Current state drivers license, clean driving record (no points in prior 3 years), minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and ability to safely operate a vehicle required.
  • Monitors closed circuit television systems and alarms
  • Monitors and operates facility computers systems regularly, as assigned
  • Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
  • Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
  • Answer phones and greets guests and employees
  • Handle security issues or emergency situations appropriately. Contact Emergency Services, such as EMT, Fire Dept., etc.
  • Participates in industry specific security/safety training programs to offer our clients the best trained officers at their sites
  • Able to:
    • Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
    • Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
    • Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
    • Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
