Allied Universal has security jobs and are seeking to fill the position for a Security Operations Center Officer (SOC). A Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Analyst is very important to the safety and security of our clients facilities. A Security Operations Center Officer allows us to accomplish our companys core purpose, which is "to serve, secure and care for the people and businesses in our communities". The SOC security officer will be a key contributor to the security operations team in the event of a crisis situation that would threaten the safe and secure business operations. This could include, but is not limited to: natural disasters, workplace violence, facility emergencies, fire and issues of serious injury or illness.

Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) operators shall be responsible for command,

control and communications functions for the Global Security Operations Center. This includes alarm monitoring and assessment, communications, emergency response, incident management, monitoring of world events and travel security as well as corporate-wide notification and escalation for major incidents.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

    • Be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent for non-driving and 21 years of age for driving positions
    • Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
    • Valid guard card/license, as required in the state for which you are applying.
    • As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
    • For Driving Positions must be 21 years of age, Current state drivers license, clean driving record (no points in prior 3 years), minimum level of insurance as required by Company policy, and ability to safely operate a vehicle required.
    • Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
    • Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
    • Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
    • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred.
    • 2-3 years of experience or more in a public or private security organization; at least two years in a central station / console environment preferred.
    • Knowledge of state of the art security technology, to include alarm and access control systems (Lenel), CCTV systems (Genetec), communications technologies, information management software programs.
    • Strong personal computing skills, to include all office related products and familiarity with internet, databases, and networks.
    • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
    • Good organizational skills, with an emphasis on multi-tasking and rapidly assessing and shifting priorities.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain professional demeanor under stressful situations.
    • Able to:
      • Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
      • Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds
      • Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
      • Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time

Duties shall include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides command, communications and control functions for MPC Global Security Operations Center (GSOC).
  • Function as command and control liaison during incidents and communicates their status to MPC Security response members, management and other involved parties.
  • Manages information flow to and from incident site, off site responders, vendors and other response personnel.
  • Coordinate customer service oriented response to calls for service, such as badge access problems, security related inquiries, and alarm monitoring questions.
  • Maintain and update policy & procedure documentation, emergency response and notification information, administrative material, and database information in guard force management system.
  • Support the MPC Corporate Security Business Continuity plan by maintaining and testing viable backup plans for Operations Center functions.
  • Availability to work 24 hours per day and flexible shifts as needed.
