Job Description
Develop and maintain software applications critical to the operations of CVS Caremark by incorporating peripheral knowledge of other applications and related technologies in the analysis and design of complex solutions. The Senior Application Developer is expected to champion SDLC methods and best practices to ensure that quality standards are met. Responsible for developing and implementing technical solutions as assigned, ensuring and adhering to all established methodologies, standards and guidelines, including but not limited to: analysis & design documents, program specifications, test plans and results, design, code, testing, debugging, and documentation of those programs while delivering assignments within specified time frames.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in programming languages and technical tools: COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, Java/J2EE, RAD, WebSphere.
3+ years of experience in completion of several small scope projects
3+ years of experience in working on all phases of SDLC
3+ years of experience in problem determination and resolution through research and fact-finding.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Healthcare (PBM) Industry
High level of comfort working with different teams (in-house and outsource) and within all levels of the organization
Able to effectively collaborate and share information with other colleagues
Adapt well with in a dynamic and changing environment
Good organizational and planning skills required
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience required, one additional year of experience is required for each year of college not attained.
