Senior Civil Engineer

The incumbent in this position is responsible for coordinating and supervising the design and planning of water and waste water facilities and/or projects, using general knowledge of basic Civil Engineering theories, principles and methods. The individual ensures compliance with government standards and regulations are in adherence to the design, permitting and construction of all components of the water and wastewater systems. Responsibilities of this position will include monitoring regulatory permitting and compliance issues, evaluating water and wastewater treatment operational data and master planning of the overall utility system. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or similar area of specialty is required. State of Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license is required. A minimum of three (7) years of experience working as Civil Engineer in water/waste water treatment, conveyance, reclaim and storm water projects or related area is required. Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the Civil Engineering is required. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft, AutoCAD, Innovyze (InfoSWMM) and ESRI software packages. Must be able to travel to all Seminole Tribe of Florida facilities and to work a flexible work schedules, including evenings, holidays and weekends.
