THE OPPORTUNITY:

Were adding a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to our Finance Team. In this role, you will drive core FP&A analytics for Freedoms lending division including our unsecured consumer lending products, consumer credit hedge fund and newly launched HELOC business. The position is based in San Mateo, CA and reports into the head of FP&A.

THE ROLE:

  • Drive monthly financial reporting for the lending businesses
  • Lead the annual budgeting effort specific to these businesses, partnering with key leaders to create
  • Responsible for a quarterly forecast refresh, providing an updated outlook intra-year
  • Support the long range forecast process. Maintain scenarios where required. Frame assumptions and outputs for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leverage forecasting in support of the semi-annual 409A valuation. Frame changes in key valuation drivers
  • Be a subject matter expert on costs within the business. Help optimize costs by ensuring the right governance and diligence is in place
  • Own unit economic analysis for lending products. Help identify key profitability drivers and facilitate related decision making
  • Create management ready presentations, framing the results of key FP&A analysis
  • Partner with capital markets on NPV and investor allocation analysis
  • Support Freedom Consumer Credit Funds Investment Policy Committee with forecasting and analysis
  • Create the business case modeling for key investments, using ROI/NPV framework
  • Provide ad hoc analytic and modeling support to help inform business decisions


REQUIREMENTS/CHARACTERISTICS:

  • 7+ years experience in corporate finance in a corporate or a banking environment.
  • Modeling expertise. Strong analytical and spreadsheet skills required
  • Robust knowledge of financial statements and related accounting concepts
  • Ability to effectively communicate financial results or analysis output in concise and well-designed slides
  • Strong communication skills. Ability to partner with senior leaders to frame analysis
  • BA in Accounting or Finance required (MBA a plus)
  • Prior Fintech experience a plus
