Skills and Competencies
- 7+ years in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, or management consulting.
- Proven experience working directly with senior management and influencing decisions with data-driven insights.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, Excel, and financial reporting tools; knowledge of ERP systems and Business Intelligence tools is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of business needs and challenges with high professional integrity and maturity.
- Ability to lead, collaborate, and work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Education
Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
Responsibilities
We are seeking a Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to provide strategic financial guidance and actionable insights to senior leadership. The role involves supporting senior management with advanced financial analysis, identifying trends, and optimizing business performance through strategic recommendations. You will engage in high-level discussions, develop financial forecasts and budgets, and offer ad-hoc analysis to help achieve the company's financial goals.
- Strategic Business Partnering: Act as a trusted advisor by providing insightful financial analysis to senior managing directors and stakeholders to inform strategic decisions.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Lead the creation of detailed financial reports and presentations, offering actionable recommendations based on data.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Oversee annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with business strategies and financial goals.
- Business Performance Insights: Deliver regular financial performance reviews, identifying areas for cost optimization and revenue growth, and translating data into actionable insights.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments to understand business drivers and challenges, providing financial modelling and analysis to support decision-making.
- Strategic Decision Support: Assist senior leadership with strategic decisions, including capital investments, business case development, and M&A due diligence, integrating financial insights with strategic objectives.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor a team of FP&A analysts, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis & Special Projects: Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support for special projects and strategic initiatives as needed.
About the team
Our Shared Services FP&A team is responsible for business partnering and financial planning for each of our Shared Services teams spanning across IT, HR, Finance, Legal, Corporate Affairs, Corporate Development, and Internal Audit. By joining our team, you will be part of exciting work in the NYC office.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $112,000 - $162,400, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
