JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Manager FP&A Commercial is responsible for all finance support for Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and team leadership team, including forecasting, budgeting, and reporting for all Revenue, Headcount, Operating and Capital Expense, and strategic ad hoc analysis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Own all financial support for Progress Residential Commercial organization

  • Partner with CCO and Commercial Leadership team to build monthly Lease Volume and Revenue Targets

  • Lead Headcount Efficiency reporting process and assist team with developing KPI reporting

  • Develop Non-Compensation (T&E, Recruiting, G&A, etc.) reporting, forecasting, and budgeting by Commercial function

  • Assist team in providing commentary for financial performance versus budget and forecast

  • Lead monthly expense review and forecast meetings with Commercial Leadership team

  • Full P&L Budget responsibility for Lease volume/revenue, headcount, payroll, non-compensation, and capital expenditure targets

  • Drive actions with senior leaders to ensure financial commitments are attained or exceeded

  • Lead all ad hoc analysis in support of Commercial strategy

  • Understand company strategy and investment decisions and how they impact expense forecasts and budget

  • Automate reporting to drive accuracy and efficiency into the financial budgeting and reporting process

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics

  • 5-8 years of total experience in a Finance or Accounting role

  • 5+ years experience in a Corporate FP&A function

  • Possesses excellent critical thinking skills with the ability to articulate context

  • Experience with Hyperion Planning, Oracle, Prophix, or other financial systems software

  • Ability to effectively communicate financial results to Senior Leaders and non-finance team members to synthesize financial data and develop storylines around financial performance

  • Ability to drive automation in financial processes

  • Ability to drive results with cross-functional partners to obtain financial commitments

  • Self-starter with inquisitive mind to dig into financial results and understand performance

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously

  • Experience in Tableau, Looker, or other dashboard-related software

  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint abilities
