Enterprise Womens Health and Genomics is responsible for setting womens health and genomics/precision medicine enterprise strategy at CVS Health. This clinically grounded work aims to support CVS Health consumers on their path to better health through innovative programs and products that simplify the health care experience, make health local, and improve health outcomes.
The Senior Manager position will be responsible for driving improved quality and cost effectiveness of health care across the Aetna lines of business. Through deep analysis and modeling of clinical and claims data, and collaboration with business partners across the CVS Health enterprise, the Senior Manager position will implement savings opportunities to reduce health care costs and increase revenue capture opportunities for the enterprise and its clients.
The role entails the development and maintenance of operational reports and dashboards to support the strategic direction set by the Womens Health & Genomics leads. This individual is responsible for strategic analyses that shape the vision for CVSH impact in Womens Health & Genomics and the associated business cases. Using data storytelling, trend analysis and supplemental insights, this individual will have opportunities to inspire business leads to innovate and deliver valuable programs to consumers. Leveraging several source systems, this role involves the extraction, analysis, and interpretation of data to identify and advance significant cost saving opportunities for the enterprise. Sample initiatives include: the identification of fraud, waste, and abuse and the associated impact, the modeling of business cases for product enablement opportunities, and analyzing the expected financial impact of potential new or revised clinical strategies. This individual will have the opportunity to partner with business leads to drive execution of identified cost savings and revenue capture opportunities.
The Senor Manager will join a small team in Enterprise Womens Health and Genomics that will require the successful applicant to work within matrixed teams across the enterprise to drive innovation and value but also to continuously adapt as needs require. Successful candidates are proactive, creative, and nimble in their approach to enable success in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Manages large and complex analytical projects from data exploration, model building, performance evaluation and testing
* Develops models and dashboards to evaluate scenarios and opportunities for cost saving and revenue capture
* Performs analysis of structured and unstructured data to solve complex business problems
* Applies a broad knowledge of the industry and organization to define analytical requirements
* Collaborate with business partners to understand their problems and goals and define the analytical approach to drive outcomes
* Develops and participates in presentations and consultations to senior staff and internal clients on analytical results and solutions
* Interacts with internal and external peers and managers to exchange complex information related to areas of specialization
* Use strong programming skills to explore, examine, and interpret large volumes of data in various forms
* Support business case development through modeling of opportunities and return on investment
* Understand and track key performance indicators including utilization, quality, experience, ROI, effectiveness, etc.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 75,400
Maximum: 158,300
Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
Required Qualifications
* 8-10 years work experience
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Proficient at health care data analysis and ability to use data to develop and present meaningful information
* Demonstrated utilization of large health care database structures and data visualization techniques
* Demonstrated understanding of health plan structures and ability to interpret clinical coding insights
* Technical - Desktop Tools/TE Microsoft Excel/4-6 Years/Power User
* Functional - Functional understanding of medical coding and claims administration process and terminology
* Technical - Programming/Data Analysis tools (ex. SAS, SQL, Python, R)/1-3 Years/Power User
