Who you are

As Senior Market Insurance Advisor youre a vital part of our organization, always providing an exceptional Desert Financial experience to our members by providing comprehensive insurance solutions and products catered to the senior market. This includes, Medicare plans, Prescription Drug Plans, Life Insurance, and other ancillary insurance products to meet the needs of clients/prospects. You bring your A game by instantly building rapport with members and enabling you to drive your book of business forward. You are extremely passionate about helping people with their financial success and guide yourself with a high level of integrity, always doing what is right.

A typical week might include the following

Client/Prospect Sales and Service: Meet with clients and prospective clients to provide holistic insurance advice by evaluating individual needs, identifying products and strategies that match the clients financial and health needs and are in the clients best interest. Maintain existing book of business by providing ongoing client service, building strong client relationships through regular client communication, and by staying current with the industry, market and products available.

Business Development: Build and develop new client relationships to expand portfolio by identifying potential sales opportunities, consistently following up, and recommending our products and services. Promote, facilitate, and participate in business development activities which includes internal and external business development, such as client seminars and DFCU employee product and sales training.

Operations/Compliance: Independently stay current with regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance (CMS, AZDOI, etc.). Ensure adherence to organization and carrier partner policies and procedures. This includes various operational and administrative tasks, such as preparing, processing, and submitting documentation for underwriting and/or service to appropriately and efficiently bind coverage and ensure the program maintains an above industry standard retention rate; completing CRM updates, updating calendar appointments, and other sales/service documentation, etc.

This role might be for you if:

High School Diploma or equivalent

You have proven insurance sales skills exceeding sales quotas/goals.

Arizona Life/Health Producers License

AHIP (Americas Health Insurance Plan) Certification within 30 days of hire

Long-Term Care Certification within 90 days of hire

You communicate clearly. You can explain just about anything to anyone and youre comfortable communicating in person, in writing and on the phone.

You are motivated and driven. You volunteer for new challenges without waiting to be asked. You can work both independently and in a team environment.

Bonus Points:

Proven health insurance sales experience, including Medicare
