Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Design, monitor, and support enterprise level networking systems for a 175+ person organization located at 21 different sites in the central Phoenix area. This includes, but isn’t limited to, Servers, Workstations, Network Devices, Printers, Telephones, and other devices. Responsible for the administration, security, maintenance, and support of agency servers, network systems, and software. Must provide direction to other staff with technology support roles.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Configure, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of network hardware products including Firewalls, Routers, Switches, and Wireless Devices
  • Install, configure and maintain servers and software products including Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, and Antivirus Suite
  • Deploy, configure, and update workstations and software
  • Manage Help Desk support system
  • Monitor network traffic, report usage patterns and maintain quality of service levels
  • Manage data backups and disaster recovery plans
  • Oversee, configure and support telephone communication system
  • Document network configuration, establish operational methods and procedures
  • Develop strategic plans, standards, guidelines and policies for network resources based on growth and trends
  • Other duties as assigned


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:

  • Associate Degrees in Information Technology or any combination of knowledge, skills and experience indicative of success in position
  • Desirable certifications: Net+, Sec+, MCSE, CCNA


WORK EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENT:

  • Five years technical experience including two years in an enterprise network environment
  • Must be dependable and able to prioritize task to complete projects by due date
  • Proficient in a Windows Server 2003+/Active Directory environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office365
  • Working knowledge of Exchange, SQL and a variety of other computer programs
  • Possess demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and good analytical skills
  • Knowledge of the 7 layer OSI model and cabling technologies
  • Must have reliable vehicle with proof of insurance
  • Experience in working with Native Americans desirable
  • Function in a team environment


WORK HOURS:

Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM; some on-call hours
