Position Description
The Senior Specialist scope includes providing technical support and assistance to departments, faculty, staff, and students whether on the phone, in person, or remotely. Technical support is related to computer systems, external peripherals, software applications, customized applications, and websites. Work is performed under supervision within established guidelines with performance based on overall results obtained.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Maintain the security and protection of electronic information resources to include computers, network, software and data
  • Provide technical support for Helpdesk calls
  • Complete and document work orders as assigned within same business day
  • Issue pagers; keep accurate records and assist with pager maintenance
  • Maintain software approval procedures, requests and service level agreements
  • Manages outside resources to accomplish tasks and projects in a time frame given by supervisor
  • Manage the distribution of user accounts (eRaiders)
  • Fulfills departmental requirements in terms of providing work coverage and administrative notification during periods of personnel illness, vacation, or education
  • Performs other duties and task as may be assigned from time to time, consistent with established verbal and written policies, procedures, and schedules
