JOB SUMMARY
Keep all critical systems up and operational, ensure that server hardware, software, and databases are current and operational, oversee and implement new software/hardware, and assist in day-to-day problems that may occur to the staff or users including creation of new users. Example of Duties

TYPICAL CLASSIFICATION ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Assist in programming new software beneficial to the office.
  • Create new users in Active Directory including appropriate security needs.
  • Keep and maintain a good backup solution.
  • Keep Accela up to date, find ways to improve Accela, and make sure employees have access to Accela.
  • Assist with report writing of certain software packages to produce useful data.
  • Coordinate and facilitate new projects and end results.
  • Make sure all hardware is in good working condition and up to date.
  • Address daily tickets/problems that may arise to all or any system users.
  • Keep all software up to date and functional and write new programs that would help the office be more efficient.
  • To promote and adhere to the workplace values of accountability, commitment, and teamwork to help enrich lives beyond expectation.
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, customer records, and restricted County information.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

POSITION SPECIFIC DUTIES:
  • Support the Operations and Maintenance of the Accela electronic permitting system.
  • Troubleshoot problems with Accela (work closely with County IT staff as needed).
  • Provide Accela and other IT support to Development Services as their key Accela technical resource.
  • Develop and maintain permit workflows.
  • Serve as a training resource to assist staff and the public in their use of Accela.
  • Support and conduct testing for software programming updates.
  • Prepare and develop training resources, standard operating procedures and manuals for Pinal County workflows.
  • Provide training to County staff and the public.
  • Serve as a member on the super-users group.
  • Manage, program and customize the Accela Premium Experience webpages for the County.
  • Assist County staff with the development of special reports and dashboards.
  • Identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
  • Maintain a focus on providing excellent customer service.
  • Assist with contract management to support Accela and third party integrations and software interfaces
Minimum Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK:

  • Associates Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • One year of experience in network server applications support;
  • Or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training and experience may substitute for the minimum requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Valid Drivers License with an Arizona Drivers License required within 30 days of hire.

  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
  • Maintenance procedures and standards for software applications, hardware and infrastructure.
  • Capabilities of computer systems, including networked environments and specialized software applications.
  • Network system access and security guidelines and standards.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The work is light and requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects. Independent body mobility to stand, walk, bend and sit for prolonged periods of time and/or drive a vehicle. Manual dexterity to reach, and grasp; manual dexterity to hand write or use computer keyboard, vision sufficient to see/read; hear and speak to communicate with customers in person and over the phone.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Position is located in an indoor office environment.
