Job Description

Our innovative Professional Scientific Services (PSS) programme engages full-time scientists, analysts; technicians and technical support personnel managed by Eurofins directly at the client facility, to provide long term service needs while maintaining the same services, expertise and cGMP compliance available at the Eurofins facility. We are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and innovative Site Manager. This is a new and exciting opportunity based at our clients facility, a world class Pharmaceutical Research & Development facility in Moreton, UK. The primary purpose of this role is to manage and co-ordinate an off-site Professional Scientific Services (PSS) team of analytical and technical staff and their leaders based at the Moreton site to ensure that team is operating at the highest quality and productivity standards, that they have high levels of morale and retention, and the agreed customer requirements are entirely satisfied so that customer expectations are met or exceeded through effective leadership and quality operational management. This person will be the key point of contact from a management point of view and assist in the management of a variety of site business requirements.


In addition to management skills, the candidate will also have strong analytical and technical skills associated with a background in the pharmaceutical analytical industry and have the ability to effectively collaborate with and communicate scientific ideas readily.

Qualifications
  • Degree or above in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • At least 5 to 7 years relevant technical experience with at least 2 years at a senior level of leadership.
  • Excellent leadership skills and at least 3 years previous management experience.
  • Responsible for development, coaching, motivation, and morale of team members, both leadership and analyst level, through effective teambuilding and use of reward and recognitions systems celebrating team success
  • Building and managing client relationships to ensure further enhancement of strategic partnerships. Establish and maintain clear lines of communication and rules of engagement between the client and the team members.
  • Previous responsibility for approving valid analytical measurements.
  • Sound, fundamental knowledge of processes within pharmaceutical and medical device industries
  • Thorough understanding of requirements for working in a GMP environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn new processes.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and to form strong working relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and be capable of developing solutions to problems as part of a team.
  • Willing to operate in a flexible manner and be able to switch priorities at short notice.
  • Good team player, organised, accurate, have strong documentation skills.
  • Passionate about quality and customer service.
  • Good communication skills both internally and externally.
