Site Reliability Engineer
Job Description
Primary Responsibilities
Analyze and troubleshoot large-scale distributed systems in the public cloud
Scale systems sustainably through automation mechanisms
Evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity
Improve monitoring and logging solutions that measure availability, latency and overall system health of production systems
Provision and manage cloud Infrastructure through automation including code
Restore healthy operation of applications and services through sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems
Improve security and compliance using industry best practices
Participate in on-call rotations
Configuration of continuous integration pipeline and release automation
Job Specifications
Experience designing and supporting applications in the Azure cloud platform
Adept in one or more of the following: .NET, PowerShell, Python, JavaScript
Experience with configuration and management of CI/CD pipeline (Azure DevOps /Git/TeamCity/Octopus)
Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Chef, ARM)
Application logging and telemetry configuration using tools like App Insights or Datadog
Experience supporting or instrumenting NextJs and React applications
Understand best practices of network and security principles (CIS, OWASP)
Experience supporting containers in a production environment a plus
Understanding of Domain-Driven Design and application design patterns
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or 2-5 years related experience as a Systems Administrator, Developer, or DevOps Engineer
