Minimum Requirements 

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction safety management, preferably in the telecommunications or network cabling industry. 
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, industry standards, and best practices related to workplace safety.  
  • OSHA 30 certification required.  
  • Additional safety certifications (e.g., First Aid/CPR, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection) preferred. 
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health, environmental science, or a related field preferred. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for training and interacting with crew members and stakeholders. 
  • Ability to conduct safety inspections, hazard analyses, and accident investigations. 
  • Proficiency in developing safety manuals, policies, and procedures. 
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. 
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure. 

 

Physical Requirements 

  • Must be able to perform job site inspections and walk through various terrain. 
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. 
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights as needed. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Develop and maintain safety manuals, policies, and procedures in compliance with OSHA regulations and industry standards. 
  • Conduct job site hazard analyses to identify potential safety risks and develop mitigation strategies. 
  • Review project plans and specifications to ensure compliance with safety requirements and regulations. 
  • Perform regular inspections of work activities and job site conditions to identify and address safety hazards. 
  • Train crew members on safe work practices, including proper equipment usage, hazard recognition, and emergency procedures. 
  • Provide ongoing safety training and education to promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance. 
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. 
  • Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and subcontractors to address safety concerns and implement safety improvements. 
  • Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks to discuss safety topics, share best practices, and address safety issues. 
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of safety inspections, training sessions, and incident reports. 
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to workplace safety. 
  • Communicate effectively with project teams, management, and regulatory agencies regarding safety matters. 


Pay Rate: 

$25.00 - $40.00/hour

Job Summary:   

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable individual for the role of LINX VD Site Safety Supervisor. The Safety Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that all safety requirements and regulations are followed on the job site, with a focus on network cabling projects involving the installation of fiber and copper infrastructure. The primary tasks include preparing safety manuals, conducting job site hazard analyses, reviewing safety requirements, inspecting work activities, and training crew members on safe work practices to promote a culture of safety.
