Site Services Manager, Aviation
Key Purpose
The Site Services Manager, Aviation is a dynamic individual responsible for the day-to-day site management of the account. He/She/They will ensure all work is completed within budgetary and safety guidelines while maintaining the highest level of quality standards. Problem-solving ability is required in order to identify challenges and to effectively carry out solutions. The Site Services Manager, Aviation will gather intelligence and analyze work activity with the ability to act decisively during changing circumstances.
The Site Services Manager, Aviation must be able to lead the team effectively within a fast-paced, dynamic location.

Key Areas of Collaboration and Influence
- Report to the Key Account Manager
- Communicate effectively with colleagues across the company so that information is disseminated effectively
- Participate in project groups and attend mandatory meetings as required

- Transfer learned best practice to team
- Use the account to promote and further develop ISS relationship
Ideal Candidate Experience
- Bachelors degree (BA/BS) from a university preferred; High School diploma or GED required
- Demonstrated knowledge of custodial/commercial cleaning
- 10+ years of experience in Janitorial Industry preferred; Military experience a plus
- 7+ years of experience in a site leadership role
- Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing large teams with a collaborative management style and managing teams on various shifts
- Must be able to interface at all levels throughout an organization, and within a clients management structure
- Must possess a valid drivers license
- Must be PC literate - understanding of how to use the technology as a tool
- Must value and develop collaboration across the team, and instill trust
- Must be able to command credibility and be able to influence
- Must be able to manage site budget
Key Accountabilities
- Assess team and create plan to develop their skill sets; document visits to each shift creating actions/deliverables for Shift-Managers
- Support placemaker recognition by ensuring there is an expectation for your leaders to provide you names and details of those on their teams that are exceptional; publicly recognize Award Winners on all three shifts by attending shift startups once per month
- Establish a weekly cadence with an agenda to meet with leaders to discuss operational tempo and expectations; meetings should be informative discussions to determine how best to solve operational concerns
- Create a subcontractor execution matrix based on the SOW for Pest Control, Waste Management, and any other cleaning services provided by subcontractors
- Train, manage, and motivate staff development
- Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to, in line with current company policy, site policy and federal and state legislation
- Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority for team by holding daily health and safety meetings
- Communicate effectively with the customer to meet deadlines
- Drive a culture of excellence and drive continuous improvement
- Monitor the appearance of the premises; ensure it is kept clean, well-organized, fully stocked, and staffed
- Order supplies/ equipment as needed for services within budget
- Deal with client or employee complaints in an efficient and professional manner
- Direct completion of assigned tasks within estimated time frames and budget constraints
- Enforce work standards and review/resolve work discrepancies to ensure compliance with contract requirements
- Optimize planning, operations, and resources to ensure maximum capability is attained
- Process/review and approve payroll for the employees onsite
Physical Demands & Work Experience
- Work hours will exceed standard eight (8) hour days
- Sitting at a computer for 50% of the time
- Walking/Inspecting the site 50% of the time
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds
- Must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods
ISS offers full time employees a variety of benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, as well as a comprehensive leave program based on employment status. The annual salary range for this position is $95000 per year - $105000 per year. Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed above.
