Job Description
BHU Sitter
Provide adequate supervision of patients with safety concerns, such as, behavioral health issues and altered mental status issues. Assists in maintaining a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Department Director or Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span a patient; possess the ability to identify each requirement relative to his or her age specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's policies and procedures skills check lists. Appropriate education will be given prior to starting position. This position is ideal for individuals looking for flexible hours and shifts.
Requirements
- Hospital experience preferred.
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Current BLS (CPR) issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association Healthcare Provider.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and written.
