Overview

Come join Team Atlantis! We are currently accepting application for a Slot Shift Manager. The Slot Manager is Responsible for the operation of the Slot Department Team Members including Key People, as well as Shift Supervisors and Managers. This position will continually observe slot machine play and examines machines for proper functioning as well as use of illegal gaming devices and coins. Also responsible for overseeing all scheduling of the department, as well as the hiring and termination of slot operation Team Members, ensure all Team Members meet the departments training requirements yearly, including Regulation 6A, and the creation of a constantly updated Team Member handbook and training system. Must create and execute programs which improve guest service and team efficiency, research and remedy accounting, tax and NGC issues as they arise through Team Member error and/or any changes to rules and regulations, and maintain cleanliness of the entire slot floor at all times, as well as the creation of policies and procedures to that affect.

Responsibilities
  • Maintenance of the Slot System, IGT Advantage, including all hardware, available reporting, system limitations and advantages. Ensure system is operating and being used to its full potential through all of its applications throughout the property.
  • Assist the Director of Slot Operations in analyzing the performance of the slot floor in terms of game mix, set-up and purchasing recommendations.
  • Oversee the operations of the Fun Center and the Chicago Dogs Eatery. Responsible for directing the Manager and Assistant Manager of the Fun Center and Chicago Dog Eatery in their effort to run the department, increase revenue, manage expenses, manage team members, create marketing programs, and create new business initiatives.
  • Refine and direct the repairs and preventative-maintenance programs within the department.
  • Oversee the purchasing and inventory of the redemption center, ensuring minimal breakage expense and best price/quality purchasing.
  • Locate areas to improve operational efficiency and save resources.
  • Create, maintain and manage the department budget.
  • Evaluate, price and procure capital expenditures; this includes analyzing current game performance and industry trends, to maximize revenue potential of current games as well as future purchases.
  • Other assignments as assigned my management.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl; talk, and hear. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Nevada Gaming Registration Required
  • Nevada Alcohol Awareness Card Required
  • Requires strong mathematical skills with concepts, probability, statistics, proportions, ratios, etc.
  • Should possess critical thinking skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must have extensive computer background with, Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of ACRES and COGNOS preferred.
