Job Summary:

The Slot Technician Assists with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of slot machines.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair slot machines and related equipment to the common component level (diverter solenoid driver, hopper drive relay, etc.).
  • Maintain proper documentation of department repair logs, shift logs, daily shift reports, lock and/or key logs.
  • Safely and effectively operate shop equipment including hand tools, soldering equipment and some electronic test equipment.
  • Maintain security of equipment, records, funds, locks and keys.
  • Consistently follow machine entry procedures and repair procedures in order to proactively identify or prevent future equipment problems.
  • Effectively interpret slot machine conditions by use of self-diagnostic and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Performs special projects and machine moves, as assigned.
  • Responds to floor calls in an expeditious manner and spends enough time on the floor to be familiar with operational issues.
  • Understands the slot network system, performs repairs and corrects line failures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Preference is given to qualified Santa Ana Tribal Members.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Experience in the installation and repair of electronic systems and subsystems required. Must possess a basic understanding of electronic theory. Must be able to read and interpret schematics, electric circuitry, and blueprints.
  • Must be able to utilize hand tools, power equipment, testing and calibration instrumentation.
  • Must possess excellent communication, organization and written skills.
  • Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Must be able to maintain a positive attitude when dealing with difficult situations.
  • Must possess excellent customer service skills.
  • A smartphone capable of running company applications and communication systems is required. If a smartphone is not provided by the company, a candidate or employee may be provided a smartphone of the companys choice, through a payroll deduction program.
  • All employees are required to proficiently use a smartphone for company applications, email, and text.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Santa Ana Gaming and Regulatory Commission key gaming license.

Essential Physical Functions:

  • The employee must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.

Equipment Used

  • Smartphones, computers, laptop computers, and other traditional office equipment as required.
  • Hand tools, radio, power machine equipment, testing and calibration instrumentation.
  • All traditional office equipment.
