PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
Provides nursing services to all consumers primarily assigned to a specific clinic, may cover other clinics. Services include engagement, assessment, treatment planning, medication administration, education and supportive psychotherapy. Has an assigned caseload and is available as needed to any consumer assigned to their clinic, participates in utilization management and quality improvement activities as required.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluating symptomatology of clients diagnosed mental disorders or addictions;
- Evaluating indications, common side effects, reactions and interactions of medications prescribed for self-administration by clients;
- Locating community resources and coordination of care obtaining assistance when needed;
- Experience in de-escalating violent behavior or behavior harmful to the client or others or crisis management;
- Provide medication management as ordered and be competent in evaluating clients medical conditions upon admission and as needed;
- Supervision of nursing staff or interns when assigned;
- Facilitate health and medication education groups as needed;
- Proficient in clinical documentation; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Follows all CPLCs policies, procedures and protocols
- Must maintain a great deal of confidentiality and integrity
- Maintain satisfactory punctuality and attendance as set on the work schedule.
- Must be a collaborator and work as a team
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Be 21 years of age or older;
- Be licensed by the Arizona Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse (RN) according to A.R.S. Title 32, Chapter 15; and
- Have at least one year experience in psychiatric nursing or behavior health
Computer Skills: MHS, MS, Internet, Outlook
Licenses, Certification, etc: Register Professional Nurse

Alternative work hours (Between 5:00p.m.-8:00a.m.)
Working on a computer 4- 6 hours a day
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.

Employee will be expected to participate in continuous learning, competency building and maintenance of competency skills.

Work is performed in structured environments.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Reports to and is supervised directly by the Medical Doctor. Employee is also accountable for understanding and complying with CPLC policies and procedures.
