QUALIFICATIONS: • High school diploma or GED • Previous experience in the non-profit sector with an emphasis on social services is preferred • Ability to supervise assigned volunteers. • Must be proficient in the use of computer applications and have working knowledge of standard office equipment • Working knowledge of community resources. • Excellent detail, organization and file management skills • Must be able to work well with the public and handle stressful situations. • Must have a valid food handlers certificate. • Must have Valid Arizona Driver’s License. SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The Social Services Case Manager will be responsible for assisting clients through the Social Services Office under the direct supervision of the Social Service Coordinator. The Case Manager will assist with answering phones and directing them to the appropriate person. Case Manager will interview clients to determine eligibility and complete appropriate intake paperwork to be entered into Family Service database. Provide clients with food boxes, hygiene items as well as providing information for free services which include meals, showers, and medical treatment. The Case Manager will also provide referrals for any needed services not available through The Salvation Army. The Case Manager will be responsible for providing statistical data and other duties as assigned by direct supervisor as it relates to the position of Case Manager. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
