    Salary: Certified Stepless Salary Schedule. Placement is determined by years of experience and education. Up to 20 years of experience credited on the certified salary schedule with appropriate verification.

    Salary Range - BA+0, $43,832 plus Benifits Package up to MA+20, $51,787 plus Benifits Package

    Job Summary:
    The job of "Middle School Social Studies Teacher" is done for the purpose/s of developing students' academic skills through academic courses of study and implementing District approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; addressing specific educational needs of students; providing a safe and optimal learning environment, and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.

    Certification/Education:
    Completion of course works satisfying the requirements for issuance of an Arizona Teaching Certificate and all endorsements in the area(s) of assignment. Applicants are required to be Properly Certified by Arizona teaching certification guidelines- Please contact Arizona Department of Education at http://www.azed.gov/educator-certification/ for information concerning reciprocity. A Level I Fingerprint Clearance Card is requiring for obtaining AZ Certification. The Human Resources Department assists with the application process.

    Reports To: Building Principal

    Evaluation:
    The teacher's performance is evaluated by the building principal and/or designee according to the provisions of PUSD's policy on evaluation.
