Job Summary: Open bundles of soiled medical linens, sort, shake, prepare materials for laundry processing and distribution into the production area. Pay Rates $9.75 Start time 5am until complete (usually 10-12 hrs) Weekly schedule varies work 4 days, then off for 3 days Minimum Qualifications: Attention to detail Meet production and safety standards for the position. Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations Strong teamwork skills- ready and willing to work closely with team members Open to and able to work long hours without a designated end time , Saturdays are required
Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma Prior experience working in a plant environment English, Spanish or Creole speaking
Physical Requirements: Physical Demands consist of standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending, stooping, twisting, grasping, and lifting 30 lbs or more. Pushing/pulling of heavy laundry bags Must be able to meet the physical demands for the entire shift. Work Environment: Production areas of a typical industrial laundry facility, which includes working around large machinery, variations in temperature, noise, odors, humidity, lint, dust, chemicals and other hazards.
