SPED Classroom Teacher Assistant

Teacher Assistant needed for long-term classroom positions

Dependable Staffing is currently recruiting for 3 experienced Teacher Assistants / Classroom Aides for long term employment opportunities in elementary school settings. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 1 year recent experience working with children in an education or behavioral health setting and will start upon completing application and new hire process.

Current schedules are 35 hours per week, Monday- Friday. Hours depend of school location and are 7 hours/ day scheduled between 7:15am-3:30pm. These opportunities are available for immediate placement through May 2021. Fall placements will be made for current employees to start August 2021 for 2021/2022 SY. COVID-19 vaccinations are available for classroom aides!

Job Duties Include:

• Assist teacher with planning and implementing daily lesson plans
• Assist students with understanding classroom and homework assignments
• Work with Students in groups and individually as instructed
• Preparing materials and supplies including making copies and distributing materials for student projects
• Supervising children in classroom, on playground, during meal breaks and field trips
• Assist with organizing and clean up throughout day
• Take students to and from bus to class
• Attend staff meetings after students are dismissed
• Additional tasks as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Must be attentive & compassionate
• Must be reliable and timely
• Have 1 year of recent experience working with children
• Current CPR & First Aid
• Current Fingerprint Clearance card
