    Position Summary:
    Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, socialcommunication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in students.

    Department: High School Campus
    Reports to: Principal, Director of Special Education Services

    Training and Experience:
    • Masters degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders.

    Licensing/Certification Requirements:
    • A Certificate of Clinical Competence or a passing score on the national exam or a passing score on the
      AEPA Speech-Language Impaired portion of the Special Education exam.
    • Valid DPS fingerprint clearance card
    • Must have completed a clinical (minimum of 250 clock hours) supervised by a University or by a speech-
      language pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence.
