Our Client is seeking a Part time Certified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to fill in for a leave of absence from September 17 to December 17 for the 2020-2021 school year in Philadelphia.
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
The Speech Language Pathologist will select and implement activities that will help students learn work and life management skills within limits of their mental and physical disabilities. They will work with IEP team members, clinicians, families, and program staff, using the multidisciplinary evaluation to create, develop, and implement individual and/or group therapy goals for each student as specified in the student's IEP.
* Confer with teachers to provide information/instruction on effective techniques to use with each individual
* Develop and implement IEP goals relevant to each individuals realistic rehabilitative needs
* Confer with parents regarding progress of each individual child and to instruct them on effective strategies
* Conduct group therapy sessions as clinically indicated
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
* PA Education Certification
* Experience working with students K-12
