This position will play a key role in the design and implementation of the organizations next generation data platforms. You will be working in a team environment with other Data Engineers and Database Administrators. You will be expected to collaborate with multiple teams including Financial Analysts, Data Science, and Software Engineering. Possess a strong desire for learning modern cloud data platform technologies.
Responsibilities:
Be the expert on SQL Server database operations for data warehouse and applications
SQL Server performance tuning, disaster recovery, security, overall database health
Assisting the team to deliver on data related projects and initiatives
Influence data platform direction and new solutions by doing research and making recommendations
Lead out on good data engineering practices for increased security, stability, performance, and scalability
Mentor other engineers and provide significant technical direction

Experience:
Five or more years of professional, hands-on experience in a combination of SQL Server database administration and/or data engineering expertise.
Experienced in SQL Server performance tuning, disaster recovery, security, overall database health
Experienced in designing and implementing security and compliance solutions for data governance
Experience with Azure or AWS data platforms is a plus
Experience with Azure SQL Managed instances, Data Lake, Synapse, and Databricks is a plus
Experience with SQL Server Analysis Services and SQL Server Reporting Services is a plus.
